Jaeger-Le Coultre gilt metal and black Lacquered ‘Rue De La Paix’ street lamp clock. In the form of a Parisian Lamp Post. This rather weighty clock is made from a brass base, painted over in black lacquer.
Featuring a nickel-finished jeweled manual winding lever movement, silvered dial with Roman numerals, blued steel pierced hands, adding a welcome touch of contrast to the dial.
The circular case with back secured by three screws, all set within a Gilt metal case in the form of a street lamp with Sign "Rue De La Paix". The cream colored, a classic Jaeger signature and is marked with a circled ‘8’, indicative of the clock’s 8-day power reserve.
Dial and movement signed Jaeger Le Coultre. Approx. Dimensions: 11” (280 mm) tall x 1.90” (48mm) diameter. Circa 1960s.
The clock has been recently serviced and is running perfectly. An eccentric and playful object, executed with meticulous attention to detail. A welcome addition to any desk or shelf!
